Natural beauties; It is one of the most important cultural assets of a country. One of these natural beauties is the Sultan Marshes, located within the provincial borders of Kayseri.
Sultan Marshes; Since it is on a road used by migratory birds between Europe and Africa, it is home to around 300 bird species and nearly 400 plant species.
Sultan Marshes get its name and fame from the fact that it was the hunting ground of the Sultans during the Ottoman Empire. In this context, this region has acquired the quality of being both historical and natural beauty. For this reason, this area was taken under protection in 1971 and was declared a natural habitat in 1984 and a National Park in 2006.
Within the scope of our Generations Gathering Project, we found it appropriate to apply the Sultan Marshes, which is a natural and historical area, as the Fifth Study. In this way, our students will be aware of the natural beauty of Kayseri and will have the opportunity to learn the hunting methods of the Sultans during the Ottoman Empire. With this study, it is aimed to increase the mental and social functions of our students, such as increasing sociological and natural observation skills, protecting the natural and historical beauties of future generations, and increasing the awareness of responsibility.
It should not be forgotten that; Our children are the guarantee of our future. Generations that embrace their values can walk towards their future with more confidence. In this context, as the Erciyes College Family, we will continue to educate students who are inspired by their past, know their values and can shape their future...
