The hole on the money is not present in the original. Money has worn out over time and the signature on the front has become almost unreadable.On the money of the Sultan Abdulhamid I period, the Sultan’s signature and a tulip were drawn on the upper right side. Behind it, there is only the phrase “ضرب فی قسطنطنیه” and the date “1187’’, without any nickname or prayer belonging to the Sultan.
STORY
During the reign of Abdulhamid I, silver coins were minted, as well as gold coins with place names such as Islambol, Dar-us-Saltanat al-Aliyah, Algeria, Egypt, Tripoli and Tunisia. In this period, Zolta of 60, that is to say, double Zolta and 30 coins of one Zolta weighing 9 dirhams, one kurus, dualities (double pennies), coins of 20, 10 and 1 coin, as well as large copper coins of 36 mm diameter were minted.
