It is a water container made of copper, aluminum or brass for transporting water from the fountain to the houses or heating it in the heater and stove during periods when there are no fountains in the houses.

DESCRIPTION
Motives were embroidered on the jug produced from copper. Its underside has just deformed over time. It has been rusty. No non-original part of the jug has been identified. Ottoman information about the year of production of the manufacturer was written in the nodal region of jug. In the same place and at the bottom of the jug, there is the manufacturer’s hot stamp.
STORY

A container with a thin and long handle on the neck, which is usually used for water transport and heating, similar to a jug in shape, mostly made of copper and aluminum. Their mouths are generally wide and capped.

There are also varieties such as water, milk, salep, coffee, ink jugs, which are divided into two parts, large and small. Among them, water, salep, boza jugs are large, others are small types. The water jugs have a groove to drain the water properly.

Jugs, formerly made of brass, silver, copper or even gold, are now generally made of aluminum and galvanic tin. The most widely used of today’s jugs are water and milk jugs made of aluminum. In the old days, the jugs were decorated with inlay, pen or calligraphy, and some with mercury star. Such jugs were an indispensable item of dowries.
