STORY
The Gasser Pistol was developed by the Austrian gun designer Leopold Gasser in the 1870s. This pistol uses the 11mm (or .442 inch) caliber an oversized bullet and was mostly used by the army of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
The Gasser Pistol was evaluated as very reliable and durable compared to other pistols of the period. In addition, it was noted for having a retractable mechanism instead of a rotating cylinder, which was popular among the weapons of the period. This pistol was also used in some units of the Ottoman Empire and other European countries. Gasser’s Pistol was gradually replaced by automatic pistols at the beginning of World War I.
