DESCRIPTION
The product is in a good condition. Deformations has formed in the part of the cover. There are lacerations and cracks in the cover according to its time and duration of use. It has an Ottoman cold stamp on it. On the cover handle, there is the phrase ‘’Ottoman factory for each new production Istanbul-Mahmut Pasha’’ as a cold stamp.
STORY
The production of food containers in Turkey used to be made in the coppersmiths shop. In order to accelerate production and continue production in series, factories were established in the last periods of the Ottoman Empire to produce these products. This work is also the product of the first established factories. But although it is a factory product, it still has manual labor of the craftsmen working there.
