STORY
Turkish people have always been famous for their hospitality. During the Ottoman period, people also entertained their guests in the best way possible. People who had a favorable financial opportunity made the treats they would make to their guests in the most spectacular way. They entertained their guests with hot drinks such as tea and herbal tea in winter and cold ayran and sherbet in summer. The containers used in this treat would show the guests how much they were cared. The cup for sherbet in our museum is quite flashy and one of the best cups for sherbet compared to the technology of its era.
