STORY
A medical bag is a bag used for transporting medical supplies used for the treatment of wounded in war. The materials inside included medical supplies such as bandages, gauze, sterilized needles and thread, ointments, alcohol, glass tubes, a hot water bag, a thermometer, etc.
The bag was usually made of leather and could be easily carried thanks to a wide strap. There was usually a red cross sign on the bag, which is an international symbol used to indicate that the bag is carrying medical supplies. Specially designed for the use of medical officers during the Dardanelles War, these bags played an important role in treating the wounded and were used in many life-saving interventions in the war.
