STORY
World War I is an important turning point in the use of artillery helmets. In the war, artillery units were using heavy weapons to destroy enemy positions. However, these troops had to be protected during the war, and therefore artillery helmets played a very important role.
The artillery helmets used in World War I were modern metal helmets designed by the French. These helmets were designed to protect the faces and heads of artillery troops. They were also lightweight so that they could be conveniently used in trenches and pits.
Artillery helmets had a great influence on ensuring the safety of artillery units in World War I. At the end of the war, the design and materials of these helmets were further developed and continued to be used by military units. The helmet in our museum is one of the first examples of its kind, known as the M15.
